The Objectives of Malaysia Oriental Dance Festival:

    1) To develop self-confidence

The greatest opponent we face in life is a combination of fear and self. With dance being a creative discipline, different environments often challenge even the most practised and seasoned dancers. The competition format is designed to overcome each performer's inner fear, cultivate a stronger self-discipline and self-confidence.

    2) To foster a spirit of self-improvement

Harsh judging, fierce competition, the joy of victory, and the baptism of setbacks. There are winners and losers in the competition, allowing our younger generations to appreciate the excellence of others and cultivate a healthy and open mind. It also allows children to discover their own strengths and weaknesses, foster their fortitude through adversity and use it to achieve new life goals.

    3) Combine training with stage performances to improve skill & expressiveness

Lights! Camera! Action! With the stage lights, applause, cheers and costumes, this atmosphere will infect the participants. The combination of training and stage performances on weekdays will improve children's dance skills and expressiveness, amplifying their love of dance through self-mastery
